Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply when you use ebaycoventures.com or work with eBay Co-Ventures ("we", "us") on a managed eBay store. By using the site or our services, you agree to these Terms. If you become a client, any written agreement we sign with you takes priority over these Terms where they differ.
What we do
We set up and manage an eBay store on your behalf. Depending on what we agree, this can include product research, listings, pricing and repricing, order processing, customer service, account monitoring and reporting.
Your accounts
- The eBay seller account, buyer accounts and payment methods used by the store are yours and stay in your name.
- You give us the access needed to run the store, and you can remove it at any time.
- You are responsible for keeping your account details accurate and for any activity you carry out yourself.
- You agree to follow the rules of eBay, any retailer you buy from, and your card issuer, and you accept the risks described in our Disclaimer.
Money, profit share and cashback
- Working capital. Stock is usually bought after a customer pays on eBay, but before eBay pays out. You are responsible for having enough funds or card limit to cover this.
- Net profit means store sales minus product costs, marketplace fees, shipping, refunds and returns, and any agreed tools or software.
- Profit split. Unless we agree otherwise in writing, you receive 40% of net profit and eBay Co-Ventures receives 60%. The split applies to all net profit the store makes for as long as we work together, from the first sale until the arrangement ends. It is not a one-time or trial-period fee.
- Cashback earned on your own card (for example, an Amazon Prime Visa) belongs to you and is not part of the split.
- Settlement. We share reports showing sales, costs and profit, and settle the split on the schedule we agree with you. You agree to pay our share on that schedule for the full time we manage the store.
No guarantees
We work hard to grow every store, but we do not guarantee sales, profit, account approval, selling limits or account health. Results depend on many things outside our control, including marketplace decisions. See our Disclaimer for details.
Taxes
You are responsible for reporting the store's income and paying any taxes that apply to you.
Ending our work together
Either side can end the arrangement with written notice (email is fine). When it ends, we will stop managing the store and hand back access. The profit share for all sales made up to the end date, including orders still being delivered or refunded, remains payable. Orders already placed will be completed or handed over properly.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, eBay Co-Ventures is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, account suspensions or holds, or decisions made by eBay, retailers, payment providers or card issuers. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the profit share we received from your store in the three months before the claim arose.
Website use
You may use this website for personal, lawful purposes. Content on the site, including text, design and graphics, belongs to eBay Co-Ventures unless stated otherwise, and may not be copied without permission. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last changed. Continuing to use the site or our services means you accept the updated Terms.
